UEFA and its 55 member associations have voted to boycott FIFA competitions, including the World Cup, if FIFA proceeds with plans to allow private investors to acquire stakes in its major competitions. The decision followed an emergency meeting on Thursday over FIFA president Gianni Infantino’s proposal to create a new commercial subsidiary to manage major events.
