SEBI Proposes Easier Digital KYC for NRIs and OCIs Abroad

NEW DELHI, India — Non-resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and other foreign nationals living abroad may soon be able to complete digital KYC for accessing India’s securities market without travelling to India, under a proposal released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

SENSEX, NIFTY50 Rise for Third Straight Session as Bajaj Finance Leads Gains

Indian equity benchmarks SENSEX and NIFTY50 extended their winning streak to a third consecutive session on Friday, July 31, with gains led by Bajaj Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra, Reliance Industries, Bajaj Finserv, Bharti Airtel, Adani Ports and Tata Steel. The SENSEX ended 166 points, or 0.21%, higher at 78,095, while the NIFTY50 gained 66 points to close at 24,384.
