Afghanistan have recalled fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq for their three-match T20I series against India in Delhi, marking his return to international cricket after a lengthy injury absence.

Naveen-ul-Haq returns for India T20Is
Naveen has spent an extended period on the sidelines after a shoulder injury ruled him out of the Asia Cup last year and the T20 World Cup earlier this year. He subsequently underwent surgery for a stress fracture in his right shoulder.
The 26-year-old last represented Afghanistan in December 2024. He has already retired from ODI cricket after the 2023 World Cup, making his return to the T20I setup a significant addition to Afghanistan’s bowling options.
Gulbadin Naib also back in squad
Afghanistan have also brought experienced allrounder Gulbadin Naib back into the squad. His inclusion is intended to add depth to both the middle order and bowling department.
