Samsung has teased the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G launch in India, confirming Flipkart availability and revealing the smartphone’s design ahead of its official debut.

Samsung has officially teased the launch of the Samsung Galaxy F70 Pro 5G in India, confirming that the smartphone will soon join the Galaxy F70e 5G as the second device in the company’s latest F-series lineup. While the company has not announced the official launch date, a dedicated microsite has gone live on Flipkart, confirming that the handset will be sold through the e-commerce platform. Samsung has also said it will reveal more details about the smartphone on July 31.

Samsung reveals first official look at the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G

The teaser offers the first official glimpse of the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G in a green colour option. The phone features a flat rear panel with a leather-like finish, a pill-shaped camera module housing three rear cameras, and an LED flash positioned beside the camera island. The power button and volume keys are placed on the right side, following Samsung’s recent Galaxy F-series design language.

The overall design closely resembles the recently launched Galaxy M47, suggesting that the Galaxy F70 Pro could be the Flipkart-focused version of that smartphone, a strategy Samsung has followed with several Galaxy M and Galaxy F series devices in the past.

Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset expected

Although Samsung has not officially confirmed the specifications, benchmark listings and multiple reports indicate that the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. A recent Geekbench listing also suggested the device will ship with Android 16 and at least 8GB of RAM.

The smartphone is expected to run Samsung’s latest One UI 8.5 based on Android 16, bringing updated software features and security improvements.

Expected display, battery and camera features

Leaks suggest the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G could feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling, gaming and multimedia performance. The device is also expected to pack a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.

For photography, the handset is tipped to include a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The remaining cameras are expected to assist with ultra-wide and macro photography, while a high-resolution front camera is also likely for selfies and video calls. However, Samsung has not officially confirmed the complete camera specifications.

Software support could become a major advantage

One of the biggest highlights expected with the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G is Samsung’s long-term software commitment. Reports suggest the company may offer up to six years of Android OS and security updates, extending one of its strongest software support policies to another mid-range smartphone. If confirmed, this could give the Galaxy F70 Pro a significant edge over several competitors in the segment.

Additional expected features include LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, NFC support, an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, and Samsung Knox security.

Expected price in India

According to earlier retailer leaks, the Samsung Galaxy F70 Pro 5G could be available in three storage variants:

• 6GB + 128GB: Expected price of Rs 32,999

• 8GB + 128GB: Expected price of Rs 36,999

• 8GB + 256GB: Expected price of Rs 41,999

These prices have not been officially confirmed by Samsung. If launched around this range, the smartphone is expected to compete with devices such as the Motorola Edge 70 Pro, Nothing Phone 4a and OnePlus Nord CE 6 in India’s upper mid-range smartphone market.

Galaxy F70 Pro follows the Galaxy F70e 5G

The Galaxy F70 Pro 5G will expand Samsung’s new Galaxy F70 lineup, which debuted earlier this year with the Galaxy F70e 5G. The Galaxy F70e launched in India with a starting price of Rs 13,999 and offers a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, a 6,000mAh battery and a 50MP primary camera.

Officially confirmed: Samsung Galaxy F70 Pro is finally launching on 3rd August:

It gets:
• Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset
• LPDDR5x RAM
• Triple camera setup with 12MP front
• OneUI 8.5
• Green color – looks premium
