NEW DELHI, India — The Indian Navy has received ‘Mangrol’, the third Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft built by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), Kochi, marking another step in the country’s indigenous naval shipbuilding programme. The vessel was delivered to the Indian Navy on August 21, 2026, according to the Ministry of Defence.

India Condemns Attack on Indian-Flagged Vessel in Red Sea; All 14 Crew Members Rescued Safely
India has strongly condemned the attack on the Indian-flagged commercial vessel MSV Faize Noore Oliya after it was struck by a projectile in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen, leading to the vessel’s sinking. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed that all 14 crew members on board, including 13 Indian nationals, were rescued safely by the Yemeni Coast Guard.

Rajnath Singh Felicitates Women Officers After Historic Tri-Services Sailing Expedition
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday felicitated nine women officers from the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force after they completed India’s first-ever all-women Tri-services circumnavigation sailing expedition, Samudra Pradakshina. The officers completed the 314-day voyage aboard the Indian Army Sailing Vessel (IASV) Triveni, covering nearly 25,500 nautical miles across four oceans.
