NEW DELHI, India — The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), launched on August 28, 2014, has completed 12 years with more than 59 crore bank accounts opened across the country. As of August 19, 2026, the scheme had 59.09 crore accounts with total deposits of ₹3,16,514 crore.
