Mangrol Anti-Submarine Warfare Craft Delivered to Navy

NEW DELHI, India — The Indian Navy has received ‘Mangrol’, the third Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft built by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), Kochi, marking another step in the country’s indigenous naval shipbuilding programme. The vessel was delivered to the Indian Navy on August 21, 2026, according to the Ministry of Defence.

Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) General N.S. Raja Subramani on Monday inaugurated the Fourth Edition of the Tri-Services Future Warfare Course at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi, stressing that India’s Armed Forces must remain prepared for rapidly evolving security challenges and adapt to the changing character of warfare.
