NEW DELHI, India — Several parts of India are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall on Saturday, August 8, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting widespread showers across northern, central, eastern, northeastern, western and peninsular regions. Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are also expected in some areas, with the weather department warning of possible waterlogging and flooding.

IMD Issues Yellow Watch for Most Parts of Uttar Pradesh on August 4, Rain Likely Across Several Districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Watch for most districts of Uttar Pradesh for August 4, indicating the possibility of rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning across large parts of the State. While monsoon activity has become active again at the beginning of August, the weather department has not issued any Orange or Red Alert for any part of Uttar Pradesh.
