NEW DELHI, India — The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, has introduced a new policy governing data sharing, interoperability and stakeholder access under the Sujalam Bharat Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI). Announced on Thursday, August 20, the framework seeks to create a secure and accountable system for managing and exchanging rural drinking water data across States, Union Territories and local governance institutions.
