El Nino 2026 Could Be Strongest in Over a Century

LONDON, United Kingdom — The 2026 El Nino event could become the most intense in more than a century, according to UK forecasters, with an unprecedented rise in tropical Pacific sea surface temperatures potentially increasing the risk of drought, extreme heat, heavy rainfall and storms across different parts of the world.

IMD Issues Yellow Watch for Most Parts of Uttar Pradesh on August 4, Rain Likely Across Several Districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Watch for most districts of Uttar Pradesh for August 4, indicating the possibility of rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning across large parts of the State. While monsoon activity has become active again at the beginning of August, the weather department has not issued any Orange or Red Alert for any part of Uttar Pradesh.
