TECHNOLOGY — The POCO X8 Pro brings a performance-focused hardware package built around a Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor, a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display and a 6,500mAh battery. POCO X8 Pro Display Gets 1.5K AMOLED Panel
The POCO X8 Pro features a 6.59-inch 1.5K ultra-bright AMOLED display with a 2756 × 1268 resolution. The panel supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and offers a 480Hz touch sampling rate, while Game Turbo Mode can increase instant touch sampling to 2560Hz.
The display supports 12-bit colour depth with up to 68 billion colours, DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It also includes 3,840Hz PWM dimming, Original Color PRO and Wet Touch Display 2.0.
Peak brightness is rated at 3,500 nits across 25% of the display area, while HBM brightness is rated at 2,000 nits and typical brightness at 800 nits. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Dimensity 8500-Ultra Powers the POCO X8 Pro
At the core of the phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, manufactured using a 4nm process. It features an octa-core CPU with speeds of up to 3.4GHz and a Mali-G720 MC8 GPU.
