Both Kushare and gold medallist Romaine Beckford cleared a height of 2.25 metres. However, Beckford achieved the mark with fewer attempts, allowing him to claim the gold medal while Kushare finished with silver.
Gulveer Singh Shines in Men’s 10,000m Event
Long-distance runner Gulveer Singh delivered an outstanding performance to win the silver medal in the men’s 10,000 metres race.
Gulveer remained among the leading group throughout the race and maintained his pace against strong competition. In the final stages, he produced a powerful finishing kick to move into second position and secure a memorable podium finish.
Australia’s Ky Robinson won the gold medal with a timing of 27:48.93, while Gulveer completed the race in 27:49.78 to take silver.
Sreeshankar Murali Claims Silver in Long Jump
Indian long jumper Sreeshankar Murali added another medal to the athletics tally with a silver medal-winning performance in the men’s long jump.
Sreeshankar recorded his best jump of 8.09 metres, finishing behind Jamaica’s Tajay Gayle, who won gold with an effort of 8.15 metres. Scotland’s Stephen Mackenzie secured the bronze medal with an 8.08-metre jump.
Seema Kaliramna Wins Discus Throw Bronze
Seema Kaliramna secured a bronze medal in the women’s discus throw event after recording a throw of 58.65 metres.
After facing difficulties in some attempts, Seema produced her best effort in the competition to finish among the top three athletes. Jamaica’s Samantha Hall and Canada’s Julia Tunks claimed the gold and silver medals respectively.
Tejaswin Shankar Creates History in Decathlon
Tejaswin Shankar achieved a historic milestone by becoming India’s first-ever Commonwealth Games medallist in the men’s decathlon event.
Competing across multiple events over two days, Tejaswin displayed remarkable consistency and completed the competition with 7,976 points. His performance in the final 1,500-metre race played a crucial role in securing the bronze medal.
Neeraj Chopra Returns to Commonwealth Games Podium
Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra once again showcased his class by winning a silver medal in the men’s javelin throw event.
Coming back from injury with limited competition preparation, Neeraj registered a season-best throw of 85.83 metres. Although it was not his personal best performance, the medal marked an important achievement during his comeback period.
India also celebrated another podium finish in the same event as Yash Vir Singh won the bronze medal with a personal best throw of 85.41 metres in his final attempt.

Shilpa K. Shyla Secures Bronze Medal
India also celebrated another podium finish in the women’s shot put F57 event as Shilpa K. Shyla claimed the bronze medal.
Shilpa initially appeared to have missed out on a medal position, but a post-event review changed the standings after one of Nigeria’s throws was declared invalid. The decision moved Shilpa into the bronze medal position.
Dilip Gavit Creates History in Men’s 100m T47
Dilip Mahadu Gavit produced a record-breaking performance in the men’s 100m T47 event by winning the gold medal and setting a new Commonwealth Games record.
Gavit completed the race in 10.71 seconds, while teammate Mohammed Basil M secured the silver medal with a timing of 10.83 seconds. The result created a historic one-two finish for India in the track event.
Soman Rana and Shubham Juyal Achieve Double Podium Finish
India secured another memorable result in the men’s shot put F57 category as Soman Rana and Shubham Juyal won gold and silver medals respectively.
Soman Rana produced a season-best throw of 13.40 metres to finish at the top, while Shubham Juyal secured silver with a 13.28-metre effort.
