Rashmika Mandanna Reveals Hip Injury During ‘Mysaa’ Dance Shoot, Says She Treated Her Body ‘Like a Machine’

Actor Rashmika Mandanna has revealed that she is recovering from a hip injury sustained while filming a dance sequence for her upcoming movie Mysaa. Sharing a health update with fans on Monday, the actor explained that the injury forced her to take an unexpected break after what she described as her third consecutive injury.
In a heartfelt note posted on Instagram, Rashmika admitted she had been pushing herself too hard and realised the importance of allowing her body time to recover.
According to the actor, one of the tendons on the right side of her hip became detached during the dance shoot and now needs time to heal before she can fully regain movement in her leg.
Rashmika Opens Up About the Injury
Explaining the nature of the injury in simple terms, Rashmika said there are four tendons on each side of the hip connecting the hip to the leg, and one of the tendons on her right hip detached during filming.
“I should definitely learn to treat my body like a human body and not some machine,” Rashmika wrote while sharing details of her recovery.
She described Mysaa as the most physically demanding project she has worked on so far and said the injury occurred during an intense dance sequence.
Although the recovery will take time, Rashmika assured fans that the pain is manageable and that her condition is not as serious as many might fear.
Actor Says Forced Break Has Been a Learning Experience
Rashmika said she initially hoped to keep the injury private but decided to share the update after fans noticed her absence from public appearances and social media.
Reflecting on the past few months, she said the latest setback marked her third injury in a row, calling them “freak accidents” and joking that it felt like life had forced her to slow down because she otherwise would never have taken a break.
Recovery Time Filled With Family, Pets and Puzzles
During her recovery, Rashmika said she has been spending quality time at home with her family and her dogs while focusing on healing. She also shared that she has taken up solving puzzles, discovering a new hobby during the forced break.
The actor admitted she is trying to maintain her fitness despite being unable to follow her regular workout routine. Known for her active lifestyle, Rashmika said she usually exercises and runs regularly, but the injury has temporarily halted those activities.
She also joked that without workouts she tends to become a “dessert monster,” adding a light-hearted touch to her health update.
“Don’t worry… it hurts but it’s not unbearable,” Rashmika assured her fans, adding that she would continue to share updates as her recovery progresses.
The actor thanked her supporters for their concern and signed off her message by sending “love, kisses and hugs” to her fans.
