Selena Gomez Wondermind lawsuit involving Mandy Teefey and investors
Selena Gomez and Mandy Teefey face a lawsuit alleging investors were misled over their Wondermind investment.

WASHINGTON, US: Selena Gomez and her mother, Mandy Teefey, are facing a lawsuit from two companies that allege they were misled into investing more than USD 1 million in Wondermind Global. The investors claim the mental health company was already facing serious internal difficulties when they committed their money and that they were not informed about the alleged deterioration of the business.

  • Two companies are suing Selena Gomez, Mandy Teefey, Wondermind Global and former business partner Daniella Pierson.
  • The investors allege they committed more than USD 1 million after Gomez publicly promoted Wondermind.
  • The lawsuit accuses the company’s founders of making misleading representations about its infrastructure, leadership and resources.
  • The plaintiffs are seeking the return of their investments and additional damages in a securities-fraud case.

Selena Gomez and Mandy Teefey Face Wondermind Lawsuit

According to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, Wondermind SRS 44 LLC and Bespoke Wondermind LLC have brought legal action against Wondermind Global, Gomez, Teefey and Pierson. The companies allege that they were given false or misleading information about Wondermind’s ability to build and operate a profitable platform.

The investors claim Gomez and Teefey made representations concerning the company’s infrastructure, leadership and resources before the investment was made. They allege that more than USD 1 million was committed to the venture after Gomez promoted Wondermind through television appearances and interviews.

The lawsuit further claims that Gomez presented herself as being heavily involved in the business but allegedly became less involved after the investment was made. These are allegations contained in the lawsuit and have not been established as facts by a court.

Investors Allege They Were Not Warned About Problems

The plaintiffs allege that Wondermind’s financial and operational condition deteriorated without investors receiving adequate warning. They claim that company founders, officers and directors did not disclose the alleged problems while investor funds continued supporting the business.

“For three years, while the company quietly collapsed around them, not one of its founders, officers or directors said a word to the investors whose money was funding the collapse,” the lawsuit states, as quoted by TMZ.

The companies say they became aware of the alleged difficulties only after The Cut published an investigative report in September 2025. According to TMZ’s account of the lawsuit, that report described Wondermind as being in severe organisational disorder.

Lawsuit References Earlier Wondermind Allegations

The lawsuit reportedly cites claims made in The Cut’s 2025 report concerning Teefey’s management of the company and allegations involving her personal circumstances. Teefey denied the substance abuse allegations and rejected claims that Wondermind was in disarray.

“It’s unfortunate that a few disgruntled employees with an ax to grind can spread lies about me and distort the truth. Even more disappointing that the media is willing to amplify their lies,” Teefey said, according to TMZ.

The investors allege that when they confronted Teefey about the claims reported by The Cut, she blamed Pierson, who had already departed the company. The lawsuit also accuses Pierson of allegedly making misleading statements about her previous business achievements and the potential returns investors could receive.

Claims Over Wondermind’s Business Operations

The lawsuit reportedly points to alleged problems with basic company obligations, including difficulties paying vendors and employees on time. The investors contend that such issues were not disclosed to them before or during their investment in the company.

The legal action also alleges that Gomez failed to perform her responsibilities to the company as represented to investors and later sought to distance herself from Wondermind amid personal difficulties involving her mother.

Investors Seek Damages

The companies are suing for securities fraud and are seeking unspecified damages. Their demands reportedly include the return of their investments as well as additional damages arising from the allegations.

The lawsuit represents the investors’ claims, and the allegations against Gomez, Teefey, Pierson and Wondermind Global have not been proven in court. The source material does not include a response from Gomez, Pierson or Wondermind Global to the lawsuit.
