Lucknow Students Protest Teacher Shortage, March Through Rain Towards Hazratganj

LUCKNOW, India — Around 250 girl students of the Jayaprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Balika Vidyalaya on Mohan Road came out on the streets on Monday amid heavy rain, protesting against a prolonged shortage of teachers and alleged deficiencies in hostel and school facilities. The students first blocked the Dubbaga-Kanpur bypass and later began marching towards Hazratganj after their demand for the district magistrate to personally intervene was not met.

Lucknow,India– A 21-year-old man from Firozabad has allegedly lost his hand after undergoing treatment for a food-pipe blockage and abdominal pain at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) in Lucknow. His family has accused the hospital of serious medical negligence, alleging that a circulation problem in his hand was not detected and treated in time after surgery.
