Manappuram Finance Q1 Results: Profit Soars 341%, AUM Hits ₹69,635 Crore

Manappuram Finance reported a sharp rise in Q1 FY27 profit and AUM, while declaring an interim dividend and appointing Ashish Singh as MD and CEO.

MUMBAI, India — Manappuram Finance Q1 Results: Manappuram Finance Ltd reported a sharp improvement in its first-quarter performance for FY27 on August 11, with consolidated net profit rising 341.40% year on year to ₹585 crore. The gold-loan-focused non-banking financial company also reported a 57.20% increase in assets under management, while its board declared an interim dividend and approved Ashish Singh as the next Managing Director and CEO from January 1, 2027.

Manappuram Finance Q1 results show strong AUM growth

Manappuram Finance’s consolidated net profit after tax increased from ₹132 crore in Q1 FY26 to ₹585 crore in Q1 FY27. The company also recorded a 25% year-on-year increase in net interest income to ₹1,759 crore from ₹1,407 crore in the corresponding quarter.

The company’s total assets under management reached ₹69,635 crore at the end of the June quarter, compared with ₹44,304 crore a year earlier. That represents a 57.20% year-on-year increase in the overall loan portfolio.

Gold loan AUM nearly doubles

Gold loans remained the key contributor to Manappuram Finance’s AUM expansion. Gold-loan AUM stood at ₹57,006 crore in Q1 FY27, up 97.9% from ₹28,802 crore during the same quarter of the previous financial year.

Non-gold loan businesses accounted for 18.14% of total AUM during the quarter. Asirvad Microfinance, one of the company’s businesses, returned to profitability and reported a profit of ₹21 crore.

The company also expanded its branch network to 5,328 branches as of June 30, 2026.

Manappuram Finance declares ₹1 interim dividend

The board declared an interim dividend of ₹1 per equity share, representing a 50% payout on the company’s ₹2 face-value shares for FY27.

The board fixed August 17, 2026, as the record date for determining shareholders eligible for the dividend.

Company plans higher borrowing limit

Manappuram Finance’s board also approved a proposal to raise funds through instruments including listed non-convertible debentures or bonds and commercial papers. The fundraising is linked to a proposed increase in the company’s borrowing limit to ₹1 lakh crore.

The proposed enhancement remains subject to shareholder approval.

Ashish Singh to become MD and CEO in January 2027

The board has appointed Ashish Singh as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of Manappuram Finance with effect from January 1, 2027. His proposed tenure is five years, subject to shareholder approval.

At the same time, V.P. Nandakumar will continue as Managing Director and Chairperson until December 31, 2026. From January 1, 2027, he will be redesignated as Non-Executive Chairperson of the board.

What Manappuram Finance management said

V.P. Nandakumar said the company maintained loan growth and stable asset quality during the first quarter. He also highlighted Asirvad Microfinance’s return to profitability as a positive development for the business.

According to Nandakumar, volatility in gold prices remained a concern for business sentiment. He said the company nevertheless delivered growth supported by operational efficiency, cost reduction, digitalisation and expansion into new markets.

He also said the company’s subsidiary businesses were currently in good financial health and were expected to perform better as the broader business environment improves.

Manappuram Finance share price after Q1 results

Manappuram Finance shares closed 2.52% lower at ₹360 on the NSE on August 11. The company’s Q1 FY27 results were announced after the stock market closed.

As of August 11, 2026, the company had a total market capitalisation of ₹33,816.10 crore, according to the supplied NSE data.
